There is a lot of confusion about what fasting is and what it is not. This message takes an in-depth look at the various kinds of fasting found in the Bible and walks through the 123’s of how to complete a successful fast.
Why do we fast? What are the benefits? Jesus said, “When you fast…” There is an expectation that followers of Christ will seek His presence through regular fasting. in addition to obedience, there are numerous spiritual and physical benefits to this ancient practice. this message looks to answer the question, “Why should I fast?”
What is Biblical fasting? it involves the mouth, the stomach, and surrender to God. It is an altar of humility to which God responds in powerful ways. It is much, much more than simply abstaining .
